Oil Painting in the Studio with Ralph Garafola!

In this class students will work from their own reference materials emphasizing accurate drawing, painting form, value observation (light and shade), composition, perspective, atmosphere and the treatment of edges. It will also include hands-on teaching of color theory and precise color mixing. These topics are what form the basics of a successful painting in any medium. Student will learn the vocabulary and language of art enabling them to communicate their vision and opinions intelligently. These classes are for artists interested in contemporary realism pertaining to land- and seascapes, still-lifes and figures. Open to all skill levels and all mediums. Beginners welcome.

Classes are from Feb. 15 to March 28th from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
