SUV Passenger Dies In Manatee County Crash: FL Highway Patrol

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A passenger in an SUV died after a Wednesday night crash in Manatee County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

A car was driving east on State Road 70 East just before 11 p.m., approaching the intersection of 87th Street East, while the SUV was stopped ahead of it.

The car’s driver, a 27-year-old Bradenton man, didn’t stop and hit the back of the SUV, FHP said. He suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The SUV’s driver also suffered minor injuries, while his passenger, a 19-year-old Bradenton woman, was seriously injured.

The third passenger, a 50-year-old Bradenton woman, was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
