Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Crash With Motorcycle

A 20-year-old woman suffered serious injuries during a collision with a motorcycle along Fruitville Road Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Imani Eldridge of Sarasota attempted to cross the roadway near Paramount Drive, mid-block, when she walked directly into the path of a motorcycle ridden by Paul Twigg, 31, of Sarasota.

The front of Twigg’s motorcycle struck the woman.

Eldridge, troopers wrote in a report, violated Twigg’s right of way. She suffered serious injuries and was taken to Blake Medical Center.
