Police need help identifying the man.

The Sarasota Police Department is looking for some help identifying a man it says robbed a Walgreens in late December.

According to the department, the crime occurred Dec. 30 when a man walked into the 1947 Fruitville Road pharmacy and approached the checkout counter. As the clerk was giving change to another customer, the man reached across the counter and into an open cash drawer, an email to media from the department stated.

The clerk pushed the man away and a short struggle occurred. The man ran out the door with an undisclosed amount of cash and a soda he hadn’t paid for, the email said.
