Progressive Women of SW Florida endorses Ken Marsh for Sarasota School Board

Nonpartisan group supports Marsh based on his experience, educational qualifications and his commitment to the families of Sarasota.

Progressive Women of Southwest Florida, a nonpartisan group dedicated to advocating for common-sense policies and initiatives that benefit the community at large, proudly endorses Ken Marsh for the Sarasota County School Board, District 1.

With 35 years of work in the public school system and nearly 20 years of service to the Sarasota County School District, Ken has extensive experience in areas such as long-range planning, evaluation, quality assurance, student services, and more. He is a trusted leader and known collaborator who is willing and able to bring together parents, community leaders and other government agencies – always with the best interests of local students and families in mind.

The Sarasota County School District is the largest employer in the county, with 41,000 students and an annual budget of $700 million. A School Board post is not an entry level job – it is a position for which a candidate should have appropriate educational qualifications and background. Sarasota County’s children deserve this. Our collective future demands this.
