Rain Closes 2 Sarasota County COVID Testing Sites Thursday: DOH
The testing sites at Sarasota's Robert L. Taylor Community Center, North Port's Dallas White Park closed Thursday due to weather, DOH said.

SARASOTA, FL — Two Sarasota County COVID-19 testing sites closed Thursday because of the rain.
The walk-up site at the Robert L. Taylor Community Center in Sarasota closed earlier Thursday morning, while the drive-thru testing site at Dallas White Park in North Port closed in the early afternoon.

Both sites will reopen Friday, weather permitting, the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County said in a news release.
The two other public coronavirus testing sites in Sarasota County remain open but may need to close periodically throughout the day because of the weather, the DOH said.

COVID-19 testing is available at the following sites Thursday
- Former Sarasota Kennel Club, 5400 Old Bradenton Road, Sarasota (offers rapid and PCR testing Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
- Ed Smith Stadium parking lot, 2700 12th Street, Sarasota (offers PCR testing daily, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
