BurgerFi Closes in University Town Center Area
The BurgerFi chain closed its doors for good in the University Town Center area after seven years in business.

A Punta Gorda-based brewery, Fat Point Brewing, will move into the space at 257 N. Cattlemen Road, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported.
Detroit-Style Pizzeria Opens on Anna Maria Island

Pizzano’s Pizza & Grinderz, a Detroit-style pizzeria, has opened in Holmes Beach.
The eatery is owned by brothers and longtime restaurateurs Sam and Tony Marhi, according to the Bradenton Herald.
They also own a Pizzano’s in Bradenton, which opened a year ago at 5627 14th Street W.
Sarasota Coffee Shop Opens Second Location
Project, a Burns Court coffee shop, is opening a second location in Sarasota’s Rosemary District, according to Sarasota magazine. The new spot at 1419 5th Street will offer a slightly different — but still vegan — from its original location.
Vietnamese Restaurant Opens in Downtown Sarasota
A new Vietnamese restaurant, Pho-Licious, has opened in downtown Sarasota. It moved into the space at 1987 Ringling Blvd. that was previously home to Baby Paul’s BBQ, near the Melting Pot and Office Bar SRQ, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
The restaurant’s owner, who lives in Sarasota, also owns pho eateries in Virginia.
BeerSauce Shop Opens in Bradenton
A BeerSauce Shop franchise has opened in Bradenton at 419 Cortez Road W. The shop offers more than 500 craft beers, as well as artisan sauces and rubs, according to the Bradenton Herald.
The franchise is owned by a St. Louis native and competitive pit master. The new Bradenton location is the brand’s sixth shop and the only one that isn’t in Missouri.
