SARASOTA-BRADENTON, FL — Here's the latest restaurant and bar news in Sarasota and Manatee counties:
Sarasota Breakfast Restaurant Expanding To Manatee County
The Breakfast at Victoria’s, which is located in the Chili’s plaza on South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, will open a new eatery in Manatee County. The second location will open on Anna Maria Island in the Holmes Beach space that formerly housed Eat Here.

“We’ve had such positive response from customers, who feel like they’re in Italy, enjoying authentic Italian food when they’re here,” Eleanora Raso, who owns the restaurant with her husband, told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. “That’s why we decided to open another location. They also like the family atmosphere.”
Good Liquid Brewing Closes Original Bradenton Location

Good Liquid Brewing Company closed its original Bradenton taproom at 4824 14th Street West. A new brewery and restaurant will open at their Bradenton space, the company said.
Good Liquid also said it will focus on other opportunities, including a new restaurant and brewery opening at Waterside Place in Lakewood Ranch.
The company also has two new concept distilleries and other brewery/restaurant locations in the works, though they didn't provide details on these projects.
Smoothie Bowl Shop To Open In Broadway Promenade
Dream Earth Bowls, a smoothie bowl company that got its start at the Sarasota Farmers Market, is opening a brick-and-mortar location in Broadway Promenade close to downtown Sarasota.
“We’ve built a beautiful storefront,” owner Ashley Yamamoto told Sarasota magazine. “We have also hired a full team of Dream Team members, as we like to call them.”
They’ll serve smoothies, smoothie bowls, toasts and teas.
Sarasota Taqueria Opens Second Location
Reyna’s Taqueria in Sarasota has opened a second location in the Sarasota Square Mall area to cater to diners in southern Sarasota County.
“We have people coming from North Port and Venice so we decided to open further south,” owner Gino Calleja told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. “People love our handmade tortillas for tacos, and they also like the street corn and tortas (pressed sandwiches). The authentic recipes have been passed down through generations from my late mother, Dona Reyna, as her legacy.”
