NORTH PORT, FL — An RV crashed on Interstate 75 in North Port Wednesday morning after a tire blowout, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The RV, driven by a 49-year-old Ohio man, was heading north on I-75, approaching the Toledo Blade exit ramp at mile marker 179, around 11:20 a.m. when its front right tire blew.
The blowout caused the RV to drive into the grassy shoulder, hitting a pine tree with its right side, FHP said. It came to a stop against the tree line and shrubbery in the shoulder.
