Sarasota’s St. Armands Circle Welcomes Its Newest Retailer, The Salt Life Brand

SARASOTA, FL — The Salt Life brand has opened the doors of its new retail store in Sarasota.

The store marks the ninth Salt Life location in Florida with more scheduled to open this year, according to a news release from Delta Apparel, the brand’s parent company. Other locations in the Sunshine State include Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton.

The brand reported retail growth in 2021, opening new stores in Texas and South Carolina. In addition to Florida stores in the works, other new retail locations planned include Hilton Head, South Carolina and Foley, Alabama.

The Sarasota store, located on St. Armands Circle, brings the total Salt Life-branded store count to 15 nationwide.

“Sarasota’s vibrant community and beautiful landscape have served as an inspiration for Salt Life since the brand’s inception,” said Jeff Stillwell, president of Salt Life. “Both residents and visitors of this area have a passion for salty outdoor activities of all kinds, and we look forward to engaging with them face-to-face in our new retail space.”

Salt Life was created in 2003 by four friends — all avid watermen — in Jacksonville Beach, according to its Facebook page. The global lifestyle brand is inspired by their shared love of the ocean and water activities. In addition to its brick-and-mortar retail locations, it also distributes its apparel, accessories and other items through its online shop.
