Sarasota Acupuncturist Recorded Female Patient, Charged With Video Voyeurism: FDLE
Dr. Rene Ng, founder of Chinese Medical Solutions, has been charged with video voyeurism, a third-degree felony, FDLE said.
SARASOTA, FL — A 62-year-old acupuncturist from Bradenton has been charged with video voyeurism, a third-degree felony, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.
Dr. Rene Ng, who lives in Bradenton, was taken into custody Friday after agents searched his Sarasota practice, Chinese Medical Solutions, and found a video of a female patient that was recorded without her permission, FDLE said.
The Sarasota Police Department assisted with the case, helping to execute the search warrant.

Born in China, NG has practiced Chinese medicine for more than 40 years, according to Chinese Medical Solutions’ website. He received a master of science degree in Oriental medicine from East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota and a doctorate degree in acupuncture and Chinese medicine from the College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego.
As a musician, Ng performs or serves as worship leader at various local churches. He’s also a kung fu, tai chi and qi gong instructor in Sarasota, as well as other locations in the U.S. and China.

Ng was booked into Sarasota County Jail. The case is still under investigation and additional charges are anticipated, FDLE said.
