Sarasota Cops Invite Folks To The Movies

SARASOTA, FL — Sarasota area residents are invited out for a night of free entertainment courtesy of the police department and the Luhrsen Law Group.

The “Blue + You” movie series continues this Saturday, March 12 at 7 p.m. with a screening of “Annie.” Attendees are invited to start arriving by 6 p.m., which will give them plenty of time to take in a special performance by the Players Kids from Players Theatre. They intend to perform songs from their upcoming “Annie Jr.” show at 6:30 p.m.

The movie “Annie” begins at 7 p.m. on the west end field area of the police department, 2099 Adams Lane.

Attendees are asked to “bring blankets and chairs, invite neighbors, family members and friends and watch Annie.” Snacks and water will be provided.

Blue + You is a semi-regular event that is meant to connect the community and its police officers. The initiative began in April 2014.
