Deputies say he sold a three-round burst AK-47 during an undercover investigation.
A 24-year-old Sarasota man faces a number of felony charges after deputies conducted an undercover investigation into his activities.
According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, Bryant Hayes was arrested Monday on four warrants that resulted from their undercover investigation. During that investigation, Hayes is accused of selling a three-round burst AK-47, ammunition and “significant quantities of cannabis.” Investigators say Hayes also asked for help in altering the serial number of a stolen Colt AR-15 assault rifle.
A search warrant was executed at Hayes’ 4801 Post Pointe Drive home Monday. Deputies recovered several weapons, liquid Codeine, hash oil, hashish and cannabis during the search.
