Sarasota Medieval Fair Celebrates Final Weekend

The annual event will fade into history until next year after Sunday.

Tampa Bay area residents who want to step back in time to the days of knights, chivalry and ladies in waiting have two more chances to do so before the 2014 Sarasota Medieval Fair becomes a mere memory.

The fair’s final two days are this Saturday and Sunday. Featuring period reenactments, jousting, live musical entertainment, games and turkey legs – lots of turkey legs – the annual event takes place on the grounds of Ringling Woods at 3000 Ringling Blvd. That’s right behind the Sarasota Fairgrounds.

Tickets are $16.95 for adults, $14.95 for seniors, students and military members and $8.95 for kids 5 to 12. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine.
