Sarasota Police Announce Sexual Predator Living In Sarasota
The Sarasota Police Department announced that Derrick Wesley Speed, 38, has registered as a sexual predator living in the city of Sarasota.

SARASOTA, FL -- The Sarasota Police Department announced that Derrick Wesley Speed, 38, has registered as a sexual predator living in the city of Sarasota.
Speed's address is 4703 North Tamiami Trail, Room #103, at the Flamingo Inn. Speed was designated as a sexual predator in 2006 in Pinellas County. His past charges include sexual battery with a victim 12 years or older in which he coerced the victim by threat of force or violence.
Speed is 6 foot 5 inches tall, 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Additional information on sexual offenders and predators living in the area can be found on the Florida Department of Law Enforcement website.
Residents can also sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offender and predator registrations and address changes. The Sarasota Police Department distributes this information to area schools, state-registered daycare centers and posts the information on all social media outlets.
