Sarasota Shooting Under Investigation: Police

SARASOTA, FL — A Tuesday night shooting in Sarasota is under investigation, authorities said.

The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. in the 1500 block of 20th Street, according to a Sarasota Police Department news release.

There were people inside the “occupied dwelling” at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported.

Police couldn’t confirm whether the structure was a home or a commercial building.
