Sarasota 'Super Speeder' Clocked At 142 MPH On Interstate 75: FHP
Troopers arrested the man after pulling over his Ford Mustang late Friday night.
SARASOTA, FL — A Sarasota "super speeder" was arrested on Friday night after Florida Highway Patrol troopers clocked his Ford Mustang traveling more than 140 mph on Interstate 75, authorities said.
Troopers said they observed a 2016 Ford Mustang GT traveling northbound on I-75 near mile marker 211 in Sarasota County shortly before midnight.
Before troopers pulled over the Mustang, authorities said it reached a speed of 142 mph.

The driver, identified as Isreal Jacob Acosta of Sarasota, was arrested on a charge of dangerous excessive speed. Acosta was booked into the Sarasota County Jail, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
