Sarasota Tiger Bay Club Presents “Emerging Trends in K-12 Education" on November 6

The Sarasota Tiger Bay Club invites the public to attend its discussion about charter schools, independent schools, public schools, voucher programs, Schools of Hope legislation, Wilkinson Elementary School, budget reduction, and more on November 6, 11:30 a.m., at Michael’s On East, 1212 East Avenue South in Sarasota. “Emerging Trends in K-12 Education: Where We Are, How We Got Here, and What’s Ahead” panelists include Terry Connor , superintendent of Sarasota County Schools; Josh Longenecker,
founder and headmaster of The Classical Academy; Lisa Schurr, co-founder of Support Our Schools; and Doug Tuthill, chief vision officer of Step Up for Students. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Lauren Kurnov, executive director of Ringling College of Art and Design’s Town Hall lecture series.
