Sarasota Vaccine Clinic Notifications Sent Out Tuesday

The Department of Health in Sarasota County is booking 6,400 first-dose coronavirus vaccine appointments for Wednesday, Friday.

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Notifications will be sent out Tuesday for a coronavirus vaccination clinic at Sarasota Square Mall scheduled Wednesday and Friday, Brianne Grant, the county’s media relations officer, said in an email.

Around 6,400 first-dose vaccine doses will be administered during this clinic, which is operated by the Department of Health in Sarasota County.

Appointment notices for first doses are sent through the county’s vaccine registration system by order of registration. Grant said the county is booking up to number 32,051 in the registration system.

Those who receive an appointment notification have two hours to confirm or decline it. If an individual declines an appointment, they won't lose their place in the queue. They'll be contacted for the next available vaccine clinic.

If receiving notifications by phone, the call will come from 941-861-8297. Emails will come from the Department of Health in Sarasota County COVID-19 Vaccine Registration System using the email address DOHcovid19vaccine@scgov.net. And those notified by text will receive a messaged from the number 88911.

Second-dose appointment notices will also be sent out today for a clinic held at the mall Thursday. This clinic is for individuals who received their first dose of the Moderna vaccine from the DOH Jan. 18-29 at Twin Lakes Park.

Those coming for their booster shot appointment must bring their vaccine card.

If you have any questions about second-dose appointments, contact the vaccine registration team on social media using the handle @SRQCountyGov, calling 941-861-8297 or visiting the information and registration station inside the mall.

An appointment-only first-dose clinic is also being held at the mall Tuesday. Notifications for these appointments went out Sunday.
