Sarasota Woman Critically Injured In Beneva Road Crash: FHP
A Sarasota woman was critically injured after turning into the path of another car heading north on Beneva Road, FL Highway Patrol said.
SARASOTA, FL — A Sarasota woman was critically injured in a Thursday afternoon crash on Beneva Road, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The 64-year-old was stopped on Silver Pine Court about to turn left onto Beneva Road just before 1 p.m. when she turned into the path of another car, which was heading north on Beneva Road.
That second car, driven by an 18-year-old Sarasota man, hit the side of the woman's car, FHP said.

She was brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
