$2 Million Florida Lottery Prize Claimed By Sarasota Woman
A Sarasota woman claimed the first top prize from the new 100X THE CASH Scratch-off she bought at a Bradenton Publix.
SARASOTA — A 26-year-old Sarasota woman won $2 million from the Florida Lottery’s 100X THE CASH Scratch-off game. Janell Morales Monroy is the first person to claim the new game’s top prize, Florida Lottery said in a news release.
She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1.78 million. She claimed her prize at the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
Morales Monroy purchased the winning ticket from the Publix located at 4240 53rd Ave. E. in Bradenton. The grocery store will receive a $4,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The $10 game, 100X THE CASH, launched in September and features more than $294 million in cash prizes, including 10 top prizes of $2 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.50.
