Sarasota YMCA Celebrates Grand Opening Of Fitness Location

SARASOTA, FL -- On Sept. 20, the Sarasota YMCA celebrated the grand opening of its South Trail Performance CrossFit location in Westfield Sarasota Square with an open house.

Community members enjoyed light bites, demonstrations, the selfie squat station, vendors with goods including essential oils and workout gear, and free class certificates. In attendance for the ceremonial ribbon cutting were President and CEO Laura Gilbert and Vice President Keith Quick.

The facility is located within the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall, 8201 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, at the entrance closest to South Beneva Road. Fitness offerings feature CrossFit (strength and conditioning program consisting of aerobic exercise, calisthenics and weightlifting), and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) small group training.
