For those of you who are as eager as I am to kick off Savor Sarasota Restaurant Weeks (that's right, it is two this year), I've narrowed down my top picks. With more than 40 dining options - from up-and-coming to award winning restaurants - my taste buds are spinning from all the possibilities. $15 for lunch and $29 for diner - here are my must go, must haves and must eats for #savorsarasota.
Cafe Americano (1409 Main Street, Sarasota. (941) 365.1026). They are offering both a lunch and dinner menu with Homemade Potato Gnocchi as one of the many featured entrees and Pistachio Ricotta Donuts for dessert. Yes, you read that correctly PISTACHIO Ricotta Donuts. Need. I. Say. More.
Carmel Cafe & Wine Bar (8433 Cooper Creek Blvd., Sarasota(941) 893.5955) A dinner menu with Meatball Lollipops and Braised Short Ribs is on my top list. They also have a variety of soups and salads that may have you coming back another evening.
Eat Here (1888 Main Street, Sarasota. (941) 365.8700) will be offering a unique dinner menu true to their signature cuisine that plays with popular American foods such as inspired pizza, creative tacos, inventive salads and vegetarian dishes.
The Table Creekside (5365 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. (941) 921.9465) is offering a special dinner menu prepared by Chef Pedro. With Peruvian Roasted Duck Carpaccio, Lamb Meatloaf, and Gorgonzola Baked Italian Custard as dining options, I know I will need to make a visit. Click here for the full menu.
