Season of Sculpture Offices Moving to New Location
The nonprofit organization responsible for public art along Sarasota's Bayfront has a number of announcements to share.

Season of Sculpture has a big move coming up this fall. The nonprofit will soon share space with Alfstad& in its office in the Rosemary District. The move will put the headquarters at 1421 5th St.

Sam Alfstad Elected to Board, Appointed Vice Chair
Sam Alfstad spent most of his career in advertising in New York City, working on accounts for M&M Mars, Colgate-Palmolive, Bristol-Myers and the U.S. Air Force. After starting his own agency, The Alfstad Blank Group, he worked for Advertising Age and the nonprofit organizations CARE and City Harvest. In 1996, he co-founded eMarketer, which has become the world’s leading authority on digital marketing, media and commerce. He now spends his time at Alfstad & Productions in Sarasota, reimagining how to make and market art, and sits on the board of Art Connects New York.

Barbara Sassen May Appointed to Secretary
Barbara Sassen May, a current member of the Board of Directors, also heads the Docent Tour Program. She is a realtor with Michael Saunders & Company.
Ringling College of Art & Design Joint Collaboration
As Season of Sculpture reimagines and restructures, it will begin a program this month with The Collaboratory at Ringling College of Art and Design. The Patterson Foundation collaborates with RCAD to connect art and design students with business and not for profit leaders. Their shared goal is to apply the visual arts to advancing organizations, while providing an academic support entity.
