Shooting Investigated In Sarasota: Police
One victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a Sunday night shooting in Sarasota, police said.
SARASOTA, FL — A Sunday night shooting in the 1900 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Way is under investigation, according to a Sarasota Police Department news release. The shooting took place around 11 p.m.
One victim, whose name is being withheld because of Marsy’s Law, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Investigators don’t believe there is any danger to the public, the agency said.

Detectives hope to speak with any witnesses to the shooting or anyone with information about it.
