SARASOTA, FL — Police are investigating a Sunday night shooting in Sarasota. The shooting happened near 24th Street and Gillespie Avenue just after 7:30 p.m., Sarasota police posted on Facebook. The victim was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Officers believe the shooting was an isolated incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sarasota Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division at 941-263-6070.
