SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Beachgoers will notice changes made to the Siesta Key Beach access points.

Earlier this week, the public pathway at Siesta Beach Access 7 was realigned to fall within the boundaries of the public right-of-way, according to a Sarasota County news release.

Siesta Beach Access 3B, 9 and 10 were also rerouted in a similar fashion.

The changes to the access points were also made to stabilize and protect the vegetative dune habitats, the county said.

New signage was also put up to encourage visitors to stay on the new paths, which veer slightly to the right when heading to the Gulf of Mexico
