Small Helicopter Crashes At Venice Municipal Airport: Police
The pilot was seriously injured when a small helicopter crashed between Venice Municipal Airport, Festival Grounds on Saturday, police said.
VENICE, FL — The pilot was seriously injured when a small helicopter crashed into the fence between Venice Municipal Airport and the Festival Grounds on Saturday morning, authorities said.
Venice police and fire rescue crew responded to the crash around 11:30 a.m., the Venice Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.
First responders found the wreckage of a gyrocopter, an experimental aircraft, police said.

The male pilot, the only occupant, was brought to an area hospital by medical helicopter. He suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
