Speeding SUV Overturns In Sarasota-Area Crash Injuring Driver: FHP
A driver was seriously injured after his SUV overturned in a single-vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Sarasota County, FL Highway Patrol said.
SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — A driver was seriously injured after his SUV overturned in a single-vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Sarasota County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The 45-year-old Wauchula man was speeding as he headed north on Tatum Road and tried to turn right onto Fruitville Road just after 1 p.m.
While attempting the turn, his SUV overturned several lanes in the eastbound travel lanes of Fruitville Road, FHP said. It came to a stop facing south within those lanes.

The driver was brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers are investigating the crash.
