St. Armands Vacation Rental Shooting Witnesses Sought: Sarasota Police
2 people treated for minor injuries in a shooting at a Lido Key vacation rental near St. Armands early Monday morning, Sarasota police said.
SARASOTA, FL — Officers investigating an early Monday morning shooting at a vacation rental near St. Armands Circle are asking for any witnesses to come forward with information, the Sarasota Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.
“We need your help! Sarasota police detectives are looking for any witnesses and surveillance video relating to the shooting that occurred near St. Armands Circle,” police wrote.
The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. at a rental near the intersection of Jackson Drive and South Washington Drive, according to a police news release.

Two adult victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, the agency said.
One resident of the Lido Key neighborhood told Fox 13 that he heard the gunshots.

"It was so scary. I woke up to a lot of screaming," Manuel Chepote said.
