St. Patrick’s Day 2022: Here’s How To Celebrate In Sarasota

SARASOTA, FL — Looking for something fun to do on St. Patrick’s Day? Here are some parties and other events planned in the Sarasota area on Thursday.

Shamrock St. Patrick’s Day Block Party

Shamrock Pub, 2257 Ringling Blvd.

4 to 11:45 p.m.

This free event features beer, music and food outdoors in front of the plaza with performances by Blue Skye Pipe and Drums, Sassy Lassies Irish dancers, Andy Thomas, bagpiper William Howard, Tuff Son and Paul Fournier. All proceeds will benefit the Sarasota City Soccer Club.

St. Paddy’s Day Party at Irish 31

Irish 31, 3750 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota

Starts at noon

Enjoy live music all day with themed cocktails, green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and contests and giveaways.

Leprechaun Hunt

Sarasota Children’s Garden and Art Center, 1670 10th Way, Sarasota

Starts at 10 a.m.

Come find the leprechaun’s lost gold in the garden and pick up a St. Patrick’s Day goody bag at this family event. Event is included with the price of admission.

St. Patrick’s Day at the Crow’s Nest

1968 Tarpon Center Drive, Venice

Lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; dinner, 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Enjoy Irish lunch and dinner specials and $5 Guinness all day. And submit your entry to the annual limerick contest by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pub 32’s Paddy’s Day Block Party

11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Enjoy bands, pipers and Irish dancers, as well as raffles and a best dressed contest. Your favorite Irish food and drinks are available for purchase. $5 general admission entry. VIP Pub Pass includes whiskey tasting and a pint of your choice.

St. Patrick’s Day Sunset Polo Bash

St. Patrick’s Day at Big Top Brewing

From 7 a.m. to close

Big Top Brewing kicks off St. Patrick’s Day with a free pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. The Prodigal Sons will perform at 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and the brewery will release its dry Irish stout.

St. Patrick’s Day at Lynches Pub & Grub

11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Enjoy more than 80 Irish whiskeys, green beer and Irish food. Musical acts scheduled throughout the day include the Jacobites and the GoodBye Eddie Band.
