SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — A Georgia woman faces charges after she was pulled over while driving a stolen U-Haul box truck Monday morning in Sarasota County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

Amanda Diane Hassen, 37, was charged with grand theft auto, the agency said.

She was pulled over around 8 a.m. at State Road 72 (Clark Road) and Gant Road.

The truck was initially rented on Dec. 8 and never returned. Hassen paid in cash for the rental, FHP said.
