Stop By For Free Coffee At New Sarasota Wawa Through Sunday
A new Wawa on Fruitville Road in Sarasota recently celebrated its grand opening. Customers can stop by for free coffee through Sunday.

SARASOTA, FL — A new Wawa at 2257 Fruitville Road in Sarasota celebrated its grand opening Thursday.
Mayor Kyle Battie, general manager Alexander Stith, employees and locals counted down the moment to the store’s 8 a.m. opening for the first time, according to a news release from the company. They also held a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The first 100 customers through the door that day received a limited-edition “Goose Vibes Only” t-shirt.

Customers can also stop by the new Wawa for free coffee through Sunday, the company said.
Wawa also recognized local first responders, including Sarasota Police Department, with its signature Hoagies for Heroes hoagie-building competition. The company presented checks for $1,000 to each agency’s charity of choice.

The new Sarasota store hired a team of about 50 people, both full-time and part-time positions, the company said.
The store features its built-to-order fresh food kitchen serving Wawa’s signature hoagies and other food items, as well as coffee and other beverages. Customers can order in the store or through mobile ordering, which offers curbside pick-up and delivery options. Online catering is also available at www.wawacatering.com.
Wawa plans to open 75 new stores throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and Florida in 2023.
