VENICE, FL — Five Venice Middle School students have been disciplined after chanting expletives about President Joe Biden while riding a school bus last week.

The group chanted “F---, Joe Biden,” and one of the students traced a swastika on a bus window, Kelsey Whealy, a media relations specialist for Sarasota County Schools, said.

Another student, who was offended by the comments and the swastika, reported them to school officials.

“The school district does not tolerate this type of behavior and will always investigate and discipline, as needed,” Whealy said. “In this particular case, all students involved were disciplined appropriately.”

For privacy reasons, the district doesn’t comment on types of discipline or the ages and grade levels of students, she added.
