Gladiators Football Announces Appointment Of Director/Co-Owner
Gerald Perry has been promoted to the position of director/co-owner of the Southwest Gladiators.
BRADENTON, FL --The Southwest Florida Gladiator football has announced the appointment of a new director/co-owner from within the organization, effective Sept. 21. Gerald Perry has been promoted to the position of director/co-owner.
"He represents everything we have aspired to be as a football organization. It's a players league and Gerald is respected. He has a remarkable understanding of the players, their reaction,and the game." Derek Greenwood, CEO of the Southwest Florida Gladiators said.
The Gladiators tapped Perry, a Sarasota native and Sarasota High School graduate, because of his local ties to the Manatee-Sarasota community. He has 15 years of experience as a player, mentor/coach, with leadership and motivational skills. As the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Sarasota's Riverview High School, the board of directors said Perry has the talent and leadership to help continue the success of the Southwest Florida Gladiators.

"I'm blessed. This is a special team, and I want to thank the Greenwoods for this incredible opportunity," said Perry. "We will as an organization lead a disciplined and determined path in continuing to build on our team success."
The Southwest Florida Gladiators is a non-profit adult minor league team based in Bradenton. The organization has risen to rank 3rd in the nation within its four years of existence.
