Teen Stabbed Siblings While On Drugs At Sarasota Home: Sheriff

A 16-year-old boy suspected of being on drugs stabbed his older siblings at their Sarasota home, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office said.

SARASOTA, FL — A 16-year-old boy faces charges after stabbing his older siblings with a knife Monday morning at their Sarasota home, a media relations specialist with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office told Patch.

The teen, suspected of being on drugs, attacked his 21-year-old sister and 25-year-old stepbrother around 5:30 a.m. at 4713 E. Trails Drive, the agency said.

The victims were brought to the hospital with multiple stab wounds. SCSO doesn’t know the status of their injuries as of Tuesday.

The boy faces two counts of committing a homicide act that could cause death (domestic,) a felony, the sheriff’s office said.
