Deadly Shooting That Killed Teenage Boy Under Investigation: Sarasota Police

Sarasota police are investigating a deadly shooting that killed a teenage boy Friday night. They're asking for public assistance.

SARASOTA, FL — Detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that killed a teenage boy just before 10 p.m. Friday night, Sarasota police said in a news release.

The boy was found dead in the 1500 block of 29th Street. The circumstances surrounding his death and how the shooting happened are still under investigation, police said.

The victim’s age is not being released, yet.
