SARASOTA, FL — Fall is a great time to get outside in Florida and take in the rich offering of festivals.
The changing colors of autumn provide a scenic background for fall and harvest festivals, which have contests ranging from apple bobbing and pumpkin carving to lumberjack contests and Halloween parades.
Fall is also the season for corn mazes, pumpkin patches and apple orchard visits.

When: Oct. 15-16, 22-23 and 29-30, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 5500 C.R. 675, Bradenton
Admission: $15 per person and $5 to park. Children 10 and younger are free.
The festival includes a pumpkin patch, craft show, live music and shows, hayrides, pony rides, a corn maze, a pioneer trades village, a petting zoo and more.

This popular trip from the Florida Railroad Museum takes you to a patch of pumpkins. Children are invited to pick their own pumpkin to take home. Everyone is also invited to participate in the hayride. Lincoln log building, crafts and other activities offered at no additional charge.

Featuring handmade arts and fine crafts by local, regional and national artisans.
