Total Quality Logistics Will Bring 100 Jobs To Sarasota

The company plans to open up shop in the BB&T Building on Second Street.

SARASOTA, FL — Sarasota area residents looking for work will find a new employer is coming to town with plans to bring about 100 jobs along with it.

Total Quality Logistics (TQL) announced Wednesday that it is expanding operations to the Sarasota area. The company, one of the country’s largest freight brokerage firms, plans on making a $600,000 capital investment in the community to pave the way for its new Sarasota operations, according to Gov. Rick Scott’s office. TQL intends to open for business June 6 in the BB&T Building at 1800 Second Street, Suite 606. The Sarasota location will be the company’s seventh in Florida.

“I am proud to announce TQL is continuing to grow in Florida and will be creating 100 new jobs for Sarasota families,” Scott said in an announcement of the opening. “By supporting economic growth and cutting taxes more than 55 times since 2010, we are making it easier for Florida businesses to create new opportunities across our state. I look forward to seeing TQL’s continued success in Florida.”
