Trump Media Registers As FL Business With Office In Sarasota

Former President Trump's media company has migrated its social media platform, Truth Social, to Rumble's cloud infrastructure.

SARASOTA, FL — Former President Donald Trump’s media company has been registered as a business in Florida and will operate from a Sarasota office.

Trump Media & Technology Group filed its registration as a foreign profit corporation through the Division of Corporation’s website, Sunbiz.org, April 18.

According to its formation documents, the company listed its principal and mailing address as 401 N. Cattlemen Road, Suite 200, in Sarasota. This building is part of the Gateway Professional Center, according to LoopNet.com.

In January, Nunes stepped down from his House seat, representing California, to take on the role of chief executive officer for Trump Media, according to the New York Times.

Days after Trump Media registered in Florida, its social media platform Truth Social migrated its website and mobile application to Rumble’s cloud infrastructure.

“This migration will enable the Truth Social platform to scale significantly on a new and cancel-culture-free cloud platform. Truth Social's move also marks the first significant customer to onboard with Rumble's cloud services business,” according to a news release from Rumble.

Nunes said, "Truth Social and Rumble took a major stride toward rescuing the internet from the grip of the Big Tech tyrants. Our teams have worked tirelessly to realize this great endeavor. Rumble's cloud infrastructure is second to none and will be the backbone for the restoration of free speech online for ages to come.”

The video-sharing platform based in Canada is also opening its U.S. headquarters in Longboat Key, not far from Trump Media’s office.

The YouTube alternative recently came under fire in Sarasota County for continuing to offer a platform to RT, a Russian-state controlled news network, during Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine. After many county residents spoke out against the company, Sarasota County commissioners voted to end the county’s Economic Development Incentive Fund. This means Rumble won’t receive a planned $825,000 rebate for bringing new jobs to the area.
