Charitable foundation created to rehabilitate injured and disabled veterans, this year relocated its corporate headquarters to Sarasota
U.S. Veterans' Rowing & Kayaking (USVRK) Foundation, a 501c3 charitable foundation created to rehabilitate injured and disabled veterans, this year relocated its corporate headquarters to Sarasota, Florida to expand services to a larger population of veterans.
The organization will maintain an office in Trumbull, CT, to serve New England-based veterans.
“Veteran's Rowing & Kayaking is a healing and wellness organization that helps military men and women suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and other health related issues,” said USVRK founder and Chief Executive Officer Paul-Stephen Varszegi. “With the generous support of donors, the organization improves quality of life for disabled Veterans through proven therapeutic fitness activities and creating unity and teamwork to reach their desired goals, growth and recovery.”

In May 2021, U.S. Veterans’ Rowing & Kayaking Foundation cohosted with Military World Rowing & Kayaking Federation its first international military indoor rowing and outdoor rowing championships at the Györ Olympic Stadium in Hungary.
“We flew 3-military members to the event all expenses paid,” said Varszegi. “Two are blind and former indoor rowing record holders, and the third is a retired Air Force veteran who holds multiple canoe/kayaking distance world records.”
