The opening night of the Sarasota Film Festival attracted a slew of filmmakers featured in the festival—all coming out Friday night to enjoy the opening film,Blackfish, and the festivities afterward.

Directors, like Gabriela Cowperthwaite who made Blackfish, walked the red carpet before the premiere and spoke to Patch's Charles Schelle about their films.
