Wallenda's Walk, Hollywood Musical and Art Walk
Here's a look at what's happening in Sarasota on Friday, from musical theater to a street party honoring daredevil Nik Wallenda.

1.) Celebrate the glitz, glamorous and glorious songs of Hollwyood. "Reel Music" is a sweeping journey through the heart of moviedom. The musical features such classics as "Moon River," "Toot-Toot-Tootsie," "Fame," "Flashdance," "As Time Goes By" and "The Way We Were." Lights, Camera, Maestro! The show is at the Florida Studio Theatre, 1241 North Palm Ave. Tickets are $29. For more information or tickets, go to the website.
2.) The Towles Court Art Walk is tonight, from 6-10p.m. Galleries, studios, shops welcome visitors. Call 941-374-1988. The monthly art walk is every third Friday. Head to 1938 Adams Lane. This Friday's events include an opening reception Bill Mills, multi-media, abstract artist at Ashby Antiques.
3.) Sarasota's own Nik Wallenda takes his circus act to Niagara Falls. The daredevil artist will attempt to walk a tight rope (really, a cable) suspended across Niagara Falls, under the dark of night. Just to keep the pressure on, he plans to do this feat on live TV. 4.) Celebrate Nik Wallenda's amazing endeavor. Mattison's and Circus Sarasota host a street party from 6 p.m. to midnight, in honor of Wallenda's walk across the falls. Chef Paul Mattison and Pedro Reis, CEO of Circus Sarasota, host “Above the Falls & Beyond Belief,” at Mattison’s City Grille and on Lemon Avenue between Main Street and First Street.
