WATCH: Boat Thieves Caught in the Act

Two men were caught on film hooking up a boat to a trailer and driving away.

The Sarasota Police Department is looking for some help identifying two people it says hooked up a boat to a trailer and drove away.

While the boat taken from Lucky’s Boat Yard, 1684 11th St. in Sarasota, was found in Miami, the two people responsible for the Aug. 15 theft remain unidentified, police say. The crime took place between 2:50 and 3:30 a.m.

The suspects were caught on camera using what appears to be a key to enter the boat yard, police say. They then hooked up a 29-foot Wellcraft to a Ford F250 or F350 with a sunroof and drove away.
