SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — It’s the spookiest time of year and the Sarasota area has plenty of family-friendly Halloween events to offer. Check out where you can get your candy fix and other scary happenings this year.
Halloween Tunnel of Terror
When: Friday and Saturday, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Evie’s Express Car Wash & Mobile Detailing, 4715 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota
What: Cost for this haunted drive is $20 per car.

What: Stop in Halloween weekend for a goodie bag. Those wearing a costume will receive an extra prize.
What: This event includes trunk-or-treating, a costume party, arts vendors, pony rides and farm animals.

What: This annual event features interactive Halloween activities that celebrate nature. Activities include a nature mask competition and a spooky scavenger hunt.

Where: The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime, 821 Apricot Ave., Sarasota
What: Enjoy trick-or-treating, free Halloween air brush tattoos, spooky spin art and live music.
Where: Selby Gardens, 1534 Mound Street, Sarasota
What: This family-friendly celebration includes trick-or-treating, holiday crafts and other activities.
Where: Siesta Key Village
What: A village wide trick-or-treating event for the family.
When: Saturday, 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: SCSO headquarters, 6010 Cattleridge Blvd., Sarasota
What: Enjoy Halloween displays and a drive-thru candy giveaway at the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office headquarters.
Where: St. Armands Circle
What: This family-friendly event includes trick-or-treating, decorated storefronts and special promotions.
Halloween on South Lime Avenue
When: Sunday, 7 to 10 p.m.
Where: 133 S. Lime Ave, Sarasota
What: Enlightened Monkey Arts presents a free family-friendly walkable Halloween experience. Located on a cul-de-sac, the installation features more than 10 scenes, projection mapping, custom-made animatronics and props, lighting, special effects, and more. Scenes include swamp monsters, pumpkin men, a skeleton rat party, martians and the Ghouls Garden. On Halloween night, there will be an animatronic Nerf shooting gallery, a scavenger hunt, a zombie room and a haunted room where guests control some of the haunt.
