Woman Found Shot To Death At North Port Home: Police
A man who recently moved into her home was charged with homicide, North Port police said. The victim was shot in the head and neck.

NORTH PORT, FL — A North Port man faces charges after a woman was found shot to death Monday afternoon at a home in the 6000 block of Kilepa Court, authorities said.
When officers responded to the home around 4 p.m., they found the 57-year-old woman who lived there dead, according to a North Port Police Department news release.
She was shot multiple times in the head and neck, the agency said.

Darryl Dye, 62, who recently moved into the home, was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with homicide.
He made the initial call to police requesting service to the home. During this call, he said things “which raised concern" and evidence at the scene also pointed to him as the shooting suspect, NPPD said.

Dye was booked into Sarasota County Jail, where he remains without bond.
The victim’s identity is being withheld under Marsy’s Law.
