Woman Killed While Walking On Clark Rd. In Sarasota: FL Highway Patrol

SARASOTA, FL — A 32- year-old Sarasota woman died after being hit by a pick-up truck while crossing Clark Road Friday evening, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The truck was traveling east on Clark Road in the inside lane, west of Colonial Drive, around 7 p.m. when it hit the woman, who was walking in the eastbound inside lane of the road, FHP said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the agency.

The driver, a 65-year-old Venice man, wasn’t injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
