Young Entrepreneurs Will Sell Their Wares At A Saturday Market
Sarasota's Bazaar on Apricot & Lime will host a Young Entrepreneur Market Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

SARASOTA, FL — About 25 young entrepreneurs will sell their art and other wares at The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime at 821 Apricot Ave. in Sarasota Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Young Entrepreneur Market features vendors ranging from ages 5 to 17, Kim Livengood, owner of the Bazaar said.
Livengood decided to host a market just for young entrepreneurs after two girls sold tie-dyed face masks at the Bazaar’s regular Saturday Limelight Market earlier in the pandemic, she said.

“They really inspired it,” she said. “And I put a call to young entrepreneurs in November thinking over the holidays would give them time to make things to sell here.”
With 25 vendors, she got a bigger response than anticipated.

“That’s way more than I thought,” Livengood said. “They’re going a variety of different things. Some are doing jewelry. We got a lemonade stand. We’ve got cupcakes. One boy propagates his own plants. His brother makes googly-eye shell art.”
She added, “It’s inspiring that they have the confidence to do this, that they have the talent to do this.”
Throughout the day, Music Compound students will perform, and Hamlet’s Eatery will be serving food all day.
