20 Residents Displaced Following Apartment Complex Fire
Twenty residents were displaced when a fire broke out at the North Oaks Apartments at 14550 Northwood Oaks Drive in North Tampa.

Tampa, FL – Twenty residents were displaced when a fire broke out at the North Oaks Apartments at 14550 Northwood Oaks Drive in North Tampa.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a two-alarm fire at the apartment complex shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday, June 14.
Crews on the scene immediately noticed flames penetrating the roof of the one of the southwestern apartment units. Responding firefighters were able to control and completely douse the flames by 2:40 p.m.

A total of 11 apartment units were damaged: one by fire, eight more by smoke and two units received water damage.
The residents are being assisted by the Red Cross in finding shelter.

There were no injuries to residents or firefighters.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation at this time.
