The Laughing Cat Bistro Expands to New Location in Ybor City

To accommodate its continued growth, The Laughing Cat Bistro has moved to 1811 N. 15th Street in historic Ybor City. The restaurant has nearly doubled in size, expanding to 165 seats from 40 seats in the previous location. The new location also includes two private dining rooms.

The Laughing Cat Bistro commorated the move with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday. Mayor Bob Buckhorn, Councilman Frank Reddick, Councilwoman Yoli Capin joined the proprietors, Franco LoRe and Gerald Kistler, in cutting the ribbon. Investors Dave Scott, Troy Ligons, Matt Heller, Matt McCollough and Matt & Deirdre Welch were also present to celebrate the expansion.

The Laughing Cat Bistro has been a popular Italian restaurant in Ybor City throughout the past 11 years. It is consistently ranked among the top restaurants in Tampa by Trip Advisor.

The new location is 4,400 sq. ft. and was previously occupied by Streetcar Charlie's. The restuarant also added six employees.
